A Field of Darkness
A Field of Darkness is a 10% ABV Imperial Stout aged in American oak foeders primed with rye bourbon, imparting rich bourbon warmth and complexity. This stout pours deep black with a creamy, dark tan head. Aromas of dark chocolate, espresso, and caramelized sugar mingle with vanilla and toasted coconut notes from the barrel aging. The malt bill features 2-row malt, malted oats, flaked barley, Carafa III, chocolate wheat, and roasted barley, contributing roasted and chocolatey flavors balanced by a smooth, full-bodied mouthfeel. The vanilla and coconut finish adds a subtle sweetness, rounding out this robust, layered stout.
