Beer on the Bay
Erie, Pennsylvania
Beer on the Bay is Erie, Pennsylvania's signature summer beer festival, held on the waterfront where the city meets Presque Isle Bay. Each year around fifty craft brewers pour alongside more than twenty vendors, with a silent disco, VIP tasting experiences, and a full afternoon of live entertainment set against one of the best views on Lake Erie. It is the kind of festival where the setting does half the work - a summer Saturday on the bay with a fresh pour in hand.
The lineup leans on Pennsylvania and Great Lakes breweries, from Erie's own taprooms to regional favorites making the trip, and the pour list changes every year. Between tastings there is local food, craft vendors, and the people-watching that comes with one of the biggest beer events in northwestern Pennsylvania. VIP admission has traditionally offered early entry and access to limited pours that do not make it to the general session.
If you are visiting for the festival, Erie's brewery scene is worth building a weekend around - the city's taprooms are an easy crawl from the bayfront, and Presque Isle State Park sits just across the water.
