Brewery Profile

Wormtown Brewery Patriot Place

At Patriot Place in Foxborough, this taproom gives visitors a way to encounter a Massachusetts brewery with roots outside town but a broad regional presence. Wormtown began in Worcester in 2010, in a former ice cream shop, and has grown into a producer with distribution across five states. The Foxborough location functions as one of its two Massachusetts taprooms, alongside Worcester. A visitor walking in should expect a retail taproom setting built around approachable beverages rather than a tiny neighborhood-only operation. The brewery’s public identity also reaches beyond its own bars through its role as the Official Hometown Brewery of the Worcester Red Sox.

Travelers looking for beer in this part of Massachusetts often seek a mix of local identity and convenience: a place to try current pours, compare familiar regional brands with taproom-only options, and spend time without needing a formal tour or specialized beer knowledge. This stop fits that pattern because Wormtown is established enough to be widely distributed but still uses its taprooms for weekly events and exclusive offerings. Its portfolio has earned more than 300 international awards for product quality, but the visitor experience is framed less around rarity and more around accessible drinking choices from a recognizable Massachusetts name.

For planning, the taproom is the place to confirm the day’s pours, any Foxborough-specific releases, and the current weekly event schedule. Known amenities beyond the taproom format have not been specified, so visitors should check directly with the brewery for details such as food availability, reservations, age policies, hours, and group accommodations. Because this is one of two company taprooms, it may not have the same selection or event calendar as the Worcester location on a given day. Anyone making a special trip for taproom-exclusive offerings should verify what is available before arriving.

Wormtown Brewery operates two taprooms in Massachusetts, including this location in Foxborough, serving as a significant regional producer whose distribution network covers five states. Established in 2010, the brewery originated from a former ice cream shop location in Worcester, MA. Their focus is on approachable beverages, contributing to a portfolio that has earned over 300 international awards for product quality. Beyond their retail locations, Wormtown maintains a high profile through its designation as the Official Hometown Brewery of the Worcester Red Sox. The brewery hosts weekly events and features taproom-exclusive offerings at both its Worcester and Foxborough facilities.
