Brewery Profile

Ten Sleep Brewing Company

In a town the size of Ten Sleep, a brewery can function as both a beer stop and a community room. Visitors to Ten Sleep Brewing Company enter a working brewery setting tied closely to its surroundings: the original operation is in the former Smith Family barn, near Signal Cliff and amid Bighorn National Forest and ranchlands. The Ten Sleep site includes a 7 BBL brewhouse, a family-friendly taproom, and a large beer garden. Rather than feeling separated from the rural setting, the brewery’s layout makes the barn, open air, and surrounding landscape part of the visit. Its history reaches back to 2003, based on the brewery having passed its ten-year anniversary in October 2013, giving it a long presence in the local beer scene.

Travelers in this part of Wyoming often look for straightforward stops that fit around drives, outdoor time, and small-town evenings. Ten Sleep Brewing Company’s beers are described as approachable craft beers, which makes the taproom an easy fit for mixed groups that may not all be chasing the same style. The brewery has also occasionally used local ingredients, including Bryant Honey, tying some beers to nearby agricultural products without making that the whole story. Live music is a notable part of the experience when scheduled: performances are held outdoors on an International flatbed truck, with both Wyoming musicians and touring acts appearing there. For visitors moving between the Bighorn National Forest, ranch country, and nearby communities, the brewery offers a casual pause that reflects the area rather than a generic roadside stop.

For planning purposes, the Ten Sleep location is the original visitor-facing brewery site, while production capacity expanded in 2022 with a modern 15 BBL facility in nearby Worland, Wyoming. The taproom is the place to confirm the day’s pours, any beers using local ingredients, and whether an outdoor event or live music performance is scheduled. Families can use the taproom and beer garden, and the outdoor space is central to many community activities. Because the known details point to a setting with indoor and outdoor areas rather than a standardized urban taproom, visitors should expect the weather, season, and event calendar to shape the visit. If timing matters, especially for music in the beer garden, checking ahead is the practical move.
