Brewery Profile

Planetary Brewing Company

In Old Town Greenwood, the public face of Planetary Brewing Company is its Tap Room at the corner of Main Street and Madison Avenue. The brewery began production from its original “Mission Control” brewhouse in Greenwood, using a 7-barrel electric system, and that small-batch scale still frames how a visitor should understand the place. Rather than arriving for a fixed, widely distributed lineup, guests come to a neighborhood taproom where the current board reflects what the brewery is pouring now. For someone exploring Greenwood’s beer options, it offers a local stop tied directly to the city’s downtown area.

Travelers in central Indiana often look for taprooms that give them a sense of place without requiring a long detour from a town center. A stop here fits that pattern: it is a Greenwood brewery with its main visitor experience in Old Town, and its beer list is described as evolving rather than static. Because no specific flagship beers or style roster are provided, the best expectation is variety rather than a guaranteed pint of any one style. Visitors who like to compare rotating selections, try smaller-production batches, or ask staff what is fresh that day will likely find the format familiar.

Practical planning is straightforward, but some details should be confirmed directly. The known visitor point is the Tap Room at Main Street and Madison Avenue in Old Town Greenwood; the original production reference is the 7-barrel electric “Mission Control” brewhouse. Information about food service, patio seating, reservations, events, family policies, or dog policies is not specified here, so those should not be assumed. The taproom is also the place to confirm the day’s pours, current hours, and any changes before making a special trip.

Launching from their original "Mission Control" brewhouse in Greenwood, Indiana, Planetary Brewing Company crafts its stellar lineup using a 7-barrel electric system. While the production started small, their growth has been anything but modest, culminating in a vibrant Tap Room located right in the heart of Old Town Greenwood (at the corner of Main St. and Madison Ave.). Stop by this neighborhood hub to sample their evolving universe of brews.
