Brewery Profile

Obed & Isaac's Microbrewery and Eatery - Peoria

A restored 1889 church shapes the first impression at this Peoria craft brewery and eatery. For visitors sampling the city’s beer options, the draw is not only what is in the glass but also the setting: a historic building adapted for casual food and drink without losing its architectural character. Inside, guests can expect beer and cider brewed on-site, served in an environment that feels different from a standard taproom or bar. The short visitor takeaway is straightforward: this is a Peoria stop where the building, the brewery, and the restaurant all share the experience.

Travelers in this part of Illinois often look for approachable local beer, food that can make a brewery visit into a meal, and places where mixed groups can settle in without too much planning. Obed & Isaac’s fits that pattern by pairing its house-brewed beer and cider with an elevated pub menu, giving non-beer drinkers and meal-focused visitors more reason to stay. The outside Bocce Garden Grill adds another option when guests want a more open-air setting. Rather than being only a quick pint stop, it works well for a relaxed lunch, dinner, or longer visit with friends or family.

For practical planning, the taproom is the place to confirm the day’s pours, cider availability, food service details, and any seasonal use of the outside area. The brewery is described as both pet friendly and child friendly, which makes it useful for visitors traveling with families or dogs, though guests should still check current rules before arriving. Expect the main experience to center on on-site beer and cider, pub-style dining, and the distinctive atmosphere of the restored church. If your Peoria itinerary includes one brewery where the setting matters as much as the drink list, this is the kind of stop to consider.

Housed within a beautifully restored 1889 church in Peoria, Obed & Isaac's offers a truly unique backdrop for enjoying exceptional craft beer and cider brewed right on-site. Beyond the historic charm, discover an elevated pub menu designed to perfectly complement your pint, or step outside to the lively Bocce Garden Grill. This pet and child-friendly destination invites you to sip, savor, and unwind in an unforgettable setting.
