Brewery Profile

Broad Leaf Brewery & Spirits and PICKELBALL - Kentwood

For visitors exploring beer in Kentwood, Broad Leaf Brewery & Spirits and Pickleball offers more than a standard taproom stop. The site brings together house beer, food and beverage service, and recreational pickleball courts in one place, giving it a different role in the local brewery landscape than a beer-only bar. A visitor walking in should expect a taproom setting where the beer list is a central feature, with the added activity of courts that can be reserved by patrons. Because the available pours can change, the taproom is the place to confirm the day’s lineup, including any seasonal releases.

Travelers in West Michigan often look for brewery visits that can fit into a broader day out, whether that means trying a local IPA, meeting friends for food, or finding something to do beyond sitting at the bar. This Kentwood stop fits that pattern by pairing beer service with structured recreation and community programming. One known example from the beer side is Galactic Salivator Hazy IPA, a seasonal release brewed with Nelson Sauvin, Krush, and Galaxy hops. The brewery also hosts trivia events, and its monthly book club is organized in partnership with Schuler Books & Music, giving repeat visitors reasons to check the calendar rather than only the tap list.

For planning purposes, the pickleball courts are a key amenity and can be reserved, so visitors interested in playing should look into availability before arriving. Food, beer, and merchandise are also available through curbside ordering, which may be useful for people who want takeout or a quicker pickup rather than a full taproom visit. The brewery serves both food and beverages on site, but specific menus, hours, court policies, and current beer availability should be confirmed directly with the Kentwood location. For anyone comparing brewery options in the area, Broad Leaf’s Kentwood location is best understood as a taproom with beer, food, events, and reservable recreation under the same roof.
