Farragut's Farmhouse is a nuanced Barrel Aged Saison that marries traditional farmhouse yeast characteristics with subtle oak influence. This saison presents a delicate balance of fruity esters, reminiscent of stone fruit and citrus zest, complemented by a signature peppery spice from the yeast. Extended aging in wood barrels imparts soft vanilla notes and a gentle tannic dryness, enhancing the beer’s crisp, effervescent mouthfeel. It finishes exceptionally dry, allowing the complex interaction between the yeast profile and the barrel character to linger.
