Beer Profile
Barrel Aged Old Rasputin XXII
This Imperial Stout, aged extensively in wood barrels, pours a deep, opaque black with minimal head retention. The aroma is dominated by rich notes of dark chocolate, espresso, and caramelized sugar, underscored by significant contributions from the barrel—vanilla, oak, and warming whiskey spice. On the palate, intense flavors of dried fruit, molasses, and cocoa balance the high alcohol warmth. The mouthfeel is thick, viscous, and luxurious, finishing with a lingering sweetness and complex tannic dryness from the aging process.
