Black Kriek is a member of the brewery’s Anthology Series, offering a deep, complex interpretation of the traditional Belgian fruit sour. This iteration features a dark, near-opaque ruby appearance, hinting at the significant addition of dark cherries. The aroma is dominated by intensely tart cherry notes, balanced by subtle earthy funk and a mild vinous character. On the palate, a sharp, lactic sourness cuts through the rich fruit profile, finishing dry with lingering notes of almond and stone fruit pit.
