Astraeus is a robust Baltic Porter matured in bourbon barrels. This lager-based dark beer pours deep mahogany with a substantial tan head. The aging process imparts distinct notes of vanilla, oak char, and warming bourbon spice, complementing the beer's inherent flavors of dark fruit, molasses, and roasted malt. Expect a smooth, full body and a clean, slightly sweet finish, characteristic of the style, with the added complexity and depth derived from the barrel.
